Erasmus+ mobility for staff and employees

As part of the Erasmus+ program, we also implement projects of academic cooperation and exchange with universities in European Union countries, drawing on the best foreign models, developing partner curricula and creating opportunities for development in an international environment.

Read about the rules governing the mobility of academic staff.

Opportunities for academic staff

Within the framework of bilateral agreements signed with foreign universities WSHiG may also send lecturers there to teach. In such a case the academic teacher receives a one-time grant from the programme budget to cover additional costs related to the trip.

Funding

The conditions for co-financing lecturers' mobility for the purposes of conducting classes in the current academic year can be found in the relevant appendix under: downloadable documents. Lecturers interested in the possibility of such a trip should submit an application form to the Rector's Office, which can be found in the same tab.

Qualification

Priority in qualifying for such trips will always be given to those who, due to their knowledge of foreign languages, will be able to conduct classes in the language of instruction at the foreign partner university. An important criterion is also the grade given to the lecturer on the basis of hospitality visits conducted during the academic year. The condition necessary to qualify a lecturer for the trip is the assessment of the Individual Teaching Programme, which is agreed with the host university.

Obligations

During one trip a lecturer is obliged to conduct min. 8 teaching hours for the students of the host university. The minimum time of stay at the partner university is 5 working days. The maximum duration of such trips is 6 weeks.

Recruitment results

The decision on qualifying a teacher is made by the Rector, the Chancellor and the Vice-Rector for Science and Planning. Recruitment results are communicated to the interested persons by the Program Coordinator. After returning from the trip, the lecturer is obliged to present an appropriate document confirming his/her stay at the partner university and fill in an individual trip participant report (after receiving an appropriate e-mail).

Opportunities for administrative staff

The Erasmus+ programme offers also mobility opportunities for administrative staff who do not teach. They may go to foreign universities or other partner institutions to receive training, improve their skills and qualifications or to find new partners for cooperation in the area of mobility.

Funding

The employee receives a one-time grant from the programme budget to cover additional costs related to the trip. The conditions of financing mobility in the current academic year can be found in the relevant appendix under: downloadable documents.

Qualification

Employees interested in the trip should submit an application form to the Rector's Office, which can be found in the documents download section. The basis for qualifying an employee for the trip is the assessment of the Individual Training Programme, agreed with the host institution. Stay in a foreign institution can last from 1 to 6 weeks.

Recruitment results

The decision on qualifying an employee is made by the Rector, the Chancellor and the Vice-Rector for Science and Planning. Recruitment results are communicated to interested parties by the Erasmus+ Coordinator. Upon return from the trip, the employee is obliged to present a document confirming the stay at the partner university and to fill in an individual trip participant report (after receiving an appropriate e-mail).
